Ingredients

For the Chickpea Patty:
2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 -inch piece of ginger, grated
1 small green chili, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)
1 Salt to taste
2 tablespoons chickpea flour (besan) or as needed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
For the Mint-Coriander Chutney:
1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1 small green chili (adjust to your spice preference)
1 clove garlic
1 Juice of 1 lemon
1 Salt to taste
2 -3 tablespoons water
For Serving:
1 Whole wheat or gluten-free burger buns
1 Sliced cucumber
1 Sliced tomato
1 Red onion rings
1 Lettuce leaves
