1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 -3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tablespoon dried)
1 -2 Scotch bonnet or habanero peppers, seeds removed (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar or coconut sugar
1 teaspoon ground allspice

For the Grilled Tofu:
1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and sliced into 1/2-inch thick slabs
For Serving:

1 Sliced red onions
1 Fresh lime wedges
1 Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
