Instructions:
1. Preheat your grill or pan to medium heat.
2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the burgers until well mixed. If using, mash the beans slightly before adding them.
3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
4. Cook the patties on the grill or in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
5. Serve the burgers hot, topped with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
