Ingredients:
For the sugar cane syrup:
1/4 cup raw organic sugar
1/4 cup water
For the drink:
2 cups freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1 cup sugarcane syrup
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Transfer to a glass jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.
2. To make the caipirinhas, fill a shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the lime juice, agave nector, and cooled sugarcane syrup. Shake well for about 30 seconds.
3. Pour the mixture into two collins glasses or tumblers filled with ice. Using a strainer, carefully pour the contents of the shaker over the ice in each glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.
